What do Waris, Dhul Arham, and Excluded mean?
Waris are relatives who are normally heirs under Muslim law: spouse, children, parents, siblings, grandparents, and grandchildren. Dhul Arham are more distant relatives such as paternal uncles and aunts, who inherit only when no nearer heir exists in the schools that recognise them. Excluded marks relatives who cannot inherit here, for example someone who has already died.
Does this chart tell me who actually inherits and how much?
Not by itself. Whether a Waris actually inherits depends on who else survives (a son excludes brothers, a father excludes the grandfather) and on the school of law. The free inheritance calculator runs those blocking rules and gives exact fractions with Quranic citations.
Can I use the family declaration PDF for a legal heir certificate?
It is supporting evidence, not the certificate itself. The declaration version adds first-person wording, a signature block, and two witness lines that an executor can attach to a legal heir certificate or succession certificate application. The certificate is issued by the Tehsildar, Mamlatdar, or District Court depending on your state.
