Wasiyat produces the document. Your family produces the will. Here is the full path from draft to something that will hold up if it's ever questioned.
Draft
You build your family tree, run the Faraid calculation, add bequests within the one-third cap, and generate your document pack in Wasiyat.
Professional Review (recommended)
For high-value or complex estates, we recommend review by a qualified Islamic scholar and, for the Indian legal side, a lawyer familiar with the Muslim Personal Law (Shariat) Application Act, 1937.
Physical Execution & Attestation
Under Muslim personal law a Wasiyyah does not require witnesses to be valid (this does not apply if you married under the Special Marriage Act, 1954, which requires two attesting witnesses), but we strongly recommend signing on paper in front of two adult witnesses: this is the step that gives the document its strongest evidentiary weight if it is ever challenged, and Wasiyat's signature capture records and preserves it.
Optional Registration
For immovable property, registration under the Registration Act, 1908 may be advisable depending on state rules. Our State Execution Packs include state-specific guidance on this.
Storage
Your finalized documents are DIN-tracked, tamper-evident, and stored in your encrypted vault, ready for your executor when the time comes.
